Those who burn
2021
Las que arden (Those who burn) is a play about the need to celebrate taking precedence over adversity. It is an invitation to reconnect with the things that make enjoyment possible and reflect on rituals and the power of community.
Las que arden is a research process about the power of community, the importance of networks of affectivity, and how spaces of ritual and celebration work to produce a sense of community as a community gathering space.
At a moment in which communication without community prevails—at the same time that our interdependence as a society becomes undeniable—Las que arden offers a steady look at community.
The premiere of Las que arden took place in Teatro Central in Sevilla in May 2021.
